Dusty is a single-prop agriculture plane who lives in the small town of Propwash Junction and dreams of being one of the lean, mean, trophy-winning machines he idolizes. His mentor Skipper is convinced that Dusty has the engine to compete with the best, and helps encourage him to pursue his lifelong dreams. With the help and support of a crew of all-new characters, Dusty wings his way into the biggest challenge of his life–the most notoriously grueling air race in history.

Planes draws inspiration from the world of Pixar’s Cars. It was created, written and produced by DisneyToon Studios under the creative leadership of John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, and directed by Emmy nominated Klay Hall, whose part credits include King of the Hill, Father of the Pride, and Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure.
