According to studio estimates Sunday, Toy Story 3 (as expected) took the No. 1 spot this weekend, raking in $110.3 million in domestic ticket sales.
Toy Story 3 became the third animated film to open with over $100 million in the first weekend. The other two are Shrek the Third with $121.6 million and Shrek 2 with $108 million.
Congrats to director Lee Unkrich and the rest of the film’s incredibly talented crew.

Lee Unkrich, director of Toy Story 3, today announced via Twitter that the film is now complete. Look for it in theaters June 18, 2010.
