FOX Renews ‘The Simpsons,’ ‘Family Guy,’ ‘Bob’s Burgers’ and Welcomes ‘American Dad!’ Back to the Network

FOX Entertainment has ordered four-season renewals for 20th Television Animation’s hit series The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers, and announced the return of American Dad! to the network.

The renewals encompass the 16th through 19th seasons of Bob’s Burgers, the 24th through 27th seasons of Family Guy and the 37th through 40th seasons of The Simpsons, extending its standing as the longest-running scripted primetime series in television history.

American Dad! debuted on FOX in 2005 and was a part of the network’s animation lineup through 2014, when it moved to TBS for 10 seasons. The series will return to the network for seasons 20 through 23.

‘Phineas and Ferb’ Season 5 Trailer: The Beloved Series Returns for Another 104 Days of Summer Adventures

Release date: June 5, 2025 on Disney Channel and Disney XD. June 6, 2025 on Disney+.

Synopsis: Phineas and Ferb follows the inventive stepbrothers as they tackle another 104 days of summer.

Candace is more determined than ever to finally bust her little brothers while their pet platypus, Perry, continues to lead a double life as the suave Agent P, whose sole mission is to thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz from taking over the Tri-State Area.

In this new season the boys will break several world records, Candace will take her driver’s license test and Perry will finally make a trip to the vet.

‘Witch Watch’ Official English Trailer: Supernatural Anime Based on the Manga by Kenta Shinohara Premieres April 6

Dubbed episodes in English will stream three weeks after their Japanese television broadcast, beginning April 27, 2025.

Synopsis: Morihito Otogi, a high school student who comes from a lineage of ogres, enjoys a peaceful, ordinary life until his childhood friend, Nico, moves in with him.

‘Big Mouth’ Season 8: First Look, Release Date, Synopsis and Guest Stars for Raunchy Comedy’s Final Episodes

Release date: May 23, 2025 on Netflix.

Synopsis: In the eighth and final season of Big Mouth, our beloved Bridgeton teens tackle new challenges as high schoolers such as: driving, drugs, sexual inexperience, enthusiastic consent, porn and the teenage mind, cancel culture, their changing bodies, and (in the end) fear of the looming future.

Through it all, friendship is the cornerstone for surviving this time of life — whether one’s puberty is just beginning, like for Nick who gets his first growth spurt, or near its conclusion, like for a maturing (and prematurely balding) Andrew.

At the height of the season, when many of our characters are in crisis, Compassion (personified as a new creature) emerges as a crucial way forward. Ultimately, though, this season is about the importance of sticking by and supporting your friends, especially when life gets overwhelming and messy.

In the end, our kids step into the harrowing unknown of the future, made less afraid of what’s to come because they have each other.

PBS KIDS Brings ‘Acoustic Rooster’ Books to Life with a One-Hour Special and Short-Form Series

PBS KIDS is set to premiere an hour-long special based on Acoustic Rooster and His Barnyard Band, the children’s book by Kwame Alexander, alongside Acoustic Rooster: Jazzy Jams, a series of 20 shorts that will introduce kids to jazz music.

Centered on Acoustic Rooster, a guitar-strumming rooster who joins the Barnyard Band of Jazz Greats, the series and special feature 24 original tracks composed by Mark McLean, as well as special guests, including Herbie Hancock and Amy Shook.

The special premieres May 1, 2025. In addition to the sneak peek at the top of this page, a second short will debut April 11, with the remaining rolling out weekly beginning May 9, 2025.

The special follows the musical adventures of Acoustic Rooster and his friends, Mules Davis, Lil’ Herdin, Ella Finchgerald, Duck Ellington, and the Chick-A-Dees.

The Acoustic Rooster shorts and special were created by Kwame Alexander and Kay Donmyer and directed by Rachel Stolberg and Ranjit Gill.

‘Wylde Pak’ Sneak Peek: Nickelodeon Series from ‘The Loud House’ Director Spotlights Blended Korean-American Family

Release date: June 6, 2025 on Nickelodeon.

Synopsis: In Wylde Pak, living together for the first time, half-siblings Jack and Lily are pushed outside their comfort zones as they learn to coexist while navigating new family dynamics, friends, and endless hijinks all while helping run the family’s pet grooming and boarding business.

With guidance from their parents and grandmother, the two will learn about each other’s previously separate lives, blended identity, vibrant culture and the importance of family.

Episode synopsis: Woori World’s special giveaway turns into an all-out store brawl, with customers diving, fighting and wrecking everything in sight just to claim the prize — a box of imported Hallasand cookies.
