‘Schirkoa: In Lies We Trust’ Trailer: Dystopian Tale Created In Unreal Engine

Based on the short film that screened at over 100 festivals worldwide, Schirkoa: In Lies We Trust tells the story of a “near perfect society [where] citizens live with paper bags on [their] heads to dissolve differences. Tensions rise when the whispers of a mythical land without the bags start to float and a fresh council member sparks an accidental revolution.”

The feature-length film was created entirely in Unreal Engine and was written and directed by Ishan Shukla.

The voice cast includes Golshifteh Farahani, Asia Argento, SoKo, King Khan, Lav Diaz, Karan Johar, Shekhar Kapur and Gaspar Noé.

Oscar Nominees for 96th Academy Awards Include ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ and Pixar’s ‘Elemental’

Nominees for the 96th Academy Awards have been announced and there’s one pleasant surprise: Robot Dreams, directed by Pablo Berger.

The other nominees for Animated Feature Film are Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Elemental, Nimona and Hayao Miyazaki’s final film, The Boy and the Heron.

‘Orion and the Dark’ Official Trailer #2: Charlie Kaufman Adapts Children’s Book for Netflix

Orion and the Dark premieres February 2, 2024 on Netflix. Directed by Sean Charmatz and written by Charlie Kaufman, based on the book by Emma Yarlett.

Synopsis: Orion seems a lot like your average elementary school kid – shy, unassuming, harboring a secret crush. But underneath his seemingly normal exterior, Orion is a ball of adolescent anxiety, completely consumed by irrational fears of bees, dogs, the ocean, cell phone waves, murderous gutter clowns, and even falling off of a cliff. But of all his fears, the thing he’s the most afraid of is what he confronts on a nightly basis: the Dark. So when the literal embodiment of his worst fear pays a visit, the Dark whisks Orion away on a roller coaster ride around the world to prove there is nothing to be afraid of in the night. As the unlikely pair grows closer, Orion must decide if he can learn to accept the unknown – to stop letting fear control his life and finally embrace the joy of living.

Combat Wombat: Back 2 Back, the sequel to Combat Wombat (2020), which you can watch for free on Tubi, releases in theaters in Australia on February 29, 2024 and in New Zealand on March 7, 2024.

The animated sequel was produced by Like A Photon Creative and is written by Dominic Morris, co-directed by Tania Vincent and directed by Ricard Cussó.

The cast includes David Wenham, Elizabeth Cullen, Mark Coles Smith, Deborah Mailman and Ed Oxenbould.

Synopsis: Life has become a little too demanding for Maggie Diggins aka Combat Wombat. Whilst the Sanctuary City crime rate is at an all-time low, she’s now expected to spend her days helping unclog drains instead of saving the world!
