Originally developed as a television series for Disney+, Moana 2 is a now a feature film set to premiere in theaters on November 27, 2024, followed by its Disney+ premiere in 2025.
Synopsis: After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
Directed by Dave Derrick Jr. with music by Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina.
Once Upon A Studio, a new Original short film, premieres on ABC during “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration!” on October 15 at 8/7c.
Premieres August 18, 2023 on Disney+.
