Anchor Bay’s upcoming animated horror movie Dead Space: Downfall, the prequel to the videogame, is heading to DVD on October 28th and to celebrate the release we’ve got 12 new images, three widgets and a hint on how to find hidden cheats in the movie.
Shaun the Sheep is heading to DVD for the first time on November 11th with the release of “Shaun the Sheep: Off the Baa!” This all-new disc includes eight episodes from the popular show, which airs on the Disney Channel in the US and is one of the top five shorts on the channel. DVD bonus features include: Meet the Animals and a sneak peak at the “Shaun the Sheep” and “Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures†videogames.
Shaun the Sheep: Off the Baa! contains these eight shorts: “Off the Baa,†“Timmy in a Tizzy†“Buzz Off Bees,†“Who is the Mummy,†“Mower Mouth,†“Fleeced,†“Shaun Shoots the Sheep” and “Mountains Out Of Molehills.â€
Oliver & Company 20th Anniversary Edition is heading to DVD on February 3, 2009 from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
Oliver, a stray kitten, wanders Manhattan when Dodger, a street-smart mutt with a weakness for mischief, befriends him. He introduces his new pal to his pack of pickpocket pooches, run by the evil Sykes, and just as Oliver is about to begin a life of crime, he is rescued by a rich girl named Jenny, who takes him home to live in luxury. But when Sykes finds out about Oliver’s new benefactor, he hatches a plot to abscond with the little girl and hold her for ransom. Now it’s up to Oliver and his pals to search the city and save Jenny.

Fox will release the Family Guy Volume Six DVD collection in stores tomorrow, October 21st. Family Guy Vol. 6 includes the show’s 100th episode and a total of 12 episodes from Seasons Five and Six. Episodes include Stewie’s not-so-successful attempt to kill Lois, Brian’s discovery that he is a father and patriarch Peter’s frequent visits to the Drunken Clam.

The Walt Disney original classic, Pinocchio, is heading to DVD and Blu-ray as “Pinocchio: 70th Anniversary Platinum Edition” on March 10, 2009. Available for the first time on Blu-ray and 2-Disc DVD, Pinocchio is restored with enhanced picture and sound. The movie will be available for a limited time only and comes loaded with bonus features.
The special 2-Disc Blu-ray release not only includes a bonus standard definition DVD of the film in the same package, but provides viewers accessibility to Disney’s popular BD-Live Network, which allows viewers to chat, video stream, participate in communal games and download exclusive content.
Launched as an animated version of “The Honeymooners,” Hanna-Barbera’s cartoon classic “The Flintstones” is heading to DVD in a complete series box set. From the town of Bedrock, modern Stone-Age couple Fred and Wilma Flintstone and their goofy best-friend neighbors Barney and Betty Rubble comically trudge through prehistoric daily lives. Rounding out the cast are pet dinosaur, Dino, Flintstones daughter, Pebbles, and Rubbles son Bamm Bamm. The DVD collection includes all 166 episodes of the animated sitcom’s six seasons and will be available in stores on October 28, 2008.

Check out the brand new trailer for ‘Resident Evil: Degeneration,’ which premiered at Tokyo Game Show 2008. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing this direct-to-DVD movie on December 30th.
Warner Home Video recently released “Peanuts Holiday Collection,” a 3 DVD set which includes “A Charlie Brown Thanksgivingâ€, “A Charlie Brown Christmas†and “It’s a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Those who prefer not to buy the complete set can purchase each movie separately, although you’ll probably save money by buying the set.

Synopsis: An ancient religious artifact has been recovered by a deep-space mining ship, and for the crew of the USG Ishimura, life just became a living hell. A young reindeer named Niko dreams about flying like his father who he believes is a member of Santa’s famous Flying Forces. Despite suffering from severe vertigo, he sneaks out of his home to take flying lessons from his friend Julius, a clumsy flying squirrel. Soon after, Niko and Julius learn that Santa and his reindeer are in serious trouble so the pair gather their forest friends and head North to save the day.
The Flight Before Christmas, starring Emma Roberts and Norm MacDonald, will be available on DVD at retailers nationwide on October 28, 2008.
DreamWorks Animation today announced that the sequel to “Kung Fu Panda” is expected scheduled for theatrical release on June 3, 2011. DreamWorks Animation also hopes to release the movie in IMAX theaters worldwide.
The sequel will star Jack Black, Angelina Jolie and other original cast members. Running the show will be director ennifer Yuh Nelson, head of story “Kung Fu Panda.” Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, writers and co-producers of the original film, will also return.
DreamWorks Animation’s CEO, Jeffrey Katzenberg, said, “We are thrilled to reunite the creative team that made ‘Kung Fu Panda’ such a global success. Because of their imaginative work, Po’s path to heroism proved popular with moviegoers of all ages around the world.”
“Kung Fu Panda,” which has raked in over $625MM worldwide will be release on on two-disc DVD and Blu-ray on November 9, 2008 alongside a brand new companion story, “Secrets of the Furious Five.”
Warner Home Video has announced today that it will release a special 10th anniversary collection of ‘The Powerpuff Girls,’ featuring all 78 episodes. The 6-disc DVD set is scheduled for release on January 20, 2009 and will retail for $59.97 — although you’ll probably be able to get it for less. Bonus materials include commentary tracks, a music video, a documentary on the show’s creator and much more.
Spongebob Squarepants – WhoBob WhatPants? is set for release on October 14th on DVD; featuring six episodes for a total runtime of 78 minutes.

On October 7, 2008 The Smurfs: Season One, Volume Two will be released on DVD in time to observe the Smurfs’ 50th anniversary this year.
This DVD will feature 20 re-mastered and uncut episodes from the second half of the series’ premiere season, along with a special bonus featurette.
