In 1939, animation pioneers Max and Dave Fleischer made history when Paramount Pictures released Gulliver’s Travels, the second feature-length animated film produced by a U.S. studio.
This adaptation of Jonathan Swift’s novel went on to earn two Academy Award nominations for Best Original Song (“Faithful Forever”) and Best Score, and is considered one of the greatest achievements in animation history.
Seventy years later, E1 Entertainment proudly presents a digitally restored, re-mastered and enhanced Max Fleischer’s Gulliver’s Travels on DVD and Blu-ray. This edition includes the complete 77 minute feature plus two fully restored Gabby cartoons and the Fleischer Studios documentary short The Making of a Cartoon.

Actress Keri Russell makes her animation debut as the voice of the title character in Wonder Woman, the next entry in the series of DC Universe animated original PG-13 movies arriving today (March 3) on DVD, Blu-ray, OnDemand, Pay-Per-View as well as available for download.
Following her first-ever voiceover recording for an animated film, as Wonder Woman, she chatted about the cool factor of owning an invisible jet, Halloween costumes of her youth, potential future Russell-Fillion co-starring roles, and a super hero supplies store.


Intergalactic justice is threatened until Hal Jordan arrives for his initial mission in the animated Green Lantern: First Flight, the fifth entry in the DVD series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies.
A co-production of Warner Premiere, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation, the Green Lantern’s first-ever full-length animated film is set for release by Warner Home Video on July 28, 2009. Green Lantern: First Flight will be available as a special edition 2-disc version on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc.
Christopher Meloni fills the lead voice of Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern. Meloni is joined by Victor Garber as the villainous Sinestro, Tricia Helfer as the voice of Boodikka, and Michael Madsen as Kilowog.
Green Lantern: First Flight finds Hal Jordan recruited to join the Green Lantern Corps and placed under the supervision of respected senior Lantern Sinestro. The earthling soon discovers his mentor is actually the central figure in a secret conspiracy that threatens the philosophies, traditions and hierarchy of the entire Green Lantern Corps. Hal must quickly hone his newfound powers and combat the treasonous Lanterns within the ranks to maintain order in the universe.

Warner Bros. has announced that a 2-Disc DVD set consisting of all 34 Chuck Jones produced Tom & Jerry shorts will be released on June 23, 2009. Also included in the set are two new documentaries: Tom and Jerry… and Chuck and Chuck Jones: Memories of a Childhood.

FOX announced today that “American Dad Vol. 4″ arrives on DVD April 28. From “Family Guy†producers Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman, “American Dad†follows the adventures of ultra-conservative CIA agent Stan Smith, a man who will stop at nothing to protect his family and country from the dangers of international terrorism and left-wing America.
“American Dad Vol. 4″ features 14 episodes from seasons three and four along with commentaries from cast and crew members, deleted scenes and more.
The “American Dad Vol. 4†DVD Collection is presented on full screen (aspect ratio 1.33:1) and features English 5.1 Dolby Surround and English, French and Spanish subtitles.

The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest: Season 1, Volume 1 is now available for the first time on DVD, featuring 13 episodes chronicling the adventures of Jonny Quest and his friends Hadji and Jessie. The show is packaged in a deluxe multi-disc set featuring new and vintage bonus materials from Hanna-Barbera.
Disney has confirmed that both “Monster’s Inc.” and “A Bug’s Life” will make their Blu-ray Disc debut May 19; ten days, conveniently, before the theatrical release of Pixar’s latest “Up” — which just so happens to be tied directly to the releases, with each including free movie bucks for a screening of Up.
Both films will each be presented in their original aspect ratios (2.35:1 A Bug’s Life, 1.85:1 Monster’s Inc.) in 1080p video with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Both discs will also feature a digital copy of each respective film that you can watch on a portable device such as an iPod, BD-Live access, and the brand new Filmmakers’ Roundtable.
In addition, A Bug’s Life will include a new bonus feature: an Original Story Treatment, while Monster’s Inc. will include the all-new “Ride and Go Seek: Building Monstropolis in Tokyo for Monster’s Inc.”

On March 24, Lionsgate releases a new twist on the classic tale of Snow White and The Seven Dwarves with the animated DVD Happily N’Ever After 2. Everyone’s favorite characters have returned in Happily N’Ever After 2 including the Seven Dwarves, Rumpelstiltskin, and the break-out characters, Mambo and Munk, back in the role as the Wizard’s assistants responsible for managing the balance of good and evil in Fairy Tale Land.
DVD special features include 3 interactive games:
Red Riding Hood Challenge: Using Red’s basket of goodies, test your vision to see if you can keep track of the different kinds of pastries that come and go in a limited amount of time.
Bo Peep and the Sheep: Outsmart the Ogre in a game of Odd Sheep Out. The Ogre will present several visual challenges that involve Bo Peep’s sheep.
Snow White and the Great Hall: Using hints and tips from Mambo and Munk, make your way down the great hall all the while Rumpelstiltskin will try to blast dark magic at you by aiming the Mirror in your direction.
