FOX has ordered a sixth season of American Dad, which was recently honored with an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Animated Program. The series continues to follow the trials and tribulations of die-hard Republican and card-carrying NRA member Stan Smith and his odd family in Langley Falls, VA. American Dad ranks in the Top 10 programs of the season among Teens, Male Teens, Men 18-34, Persons 12-34, Adults 18-34 and Men 18-49, and has consistently performed well in total viewership for its time slot.
After being hired at Hanna-Barbera, Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy, was given a chance in 1996 to direct a sequel entitled Larry and Steve, a seven-minute short broadcast as part of Cartoon Network’s World Premiere Toons.
FOX announced today that “American Dad Vol. 4″ arrives on DVD April 28. From “Family Guy” producers Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman, “American Dad” follows the adventures of ultra-conservative CIA agent Stan Smith, a man who will stop at nothing to protect his family and country from the dangers of international terrorism and left-wing America.
“American Dad Vol. 4″ features 14 episodes from seasons three and four along with commentaries from cast and crew members, deleted scenes and more.
The “American Dad Vol. 4” DVD Collection is presented on full screen (aspect ratio 1.33:1) and features English 5.1 Dolby Surround and English, French and Spanish subtitles.
Fox announced today that they will be bringing Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy to DVD and Blu-ray April 21. The release will feature 54 minutes of cartoons, including never before seen, exclusive new episodes that are “too outrageous for TV or the internet” according to Fox. Apparently the suits at Fox haven’t heard of a certain video that involved a cup. No word of bonus meterials, but one would imagine that with such a short runtime, Fox will be kind enough to include tons of extras to make this a worthwhile purchase.
Priceline.com has announced that it has partnered with Seth Macfarlane’s “Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy” to exclusively debut the newest collection of shorts featuring new animated characters by Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy.
