‘Dora’ Trailer, Release Date and Cast List: Dora the Explorer Returns for New Adventures in CG-Animated Series for Paramount+

Dora premieres April 12, 2024 on Paramount+. The series will also air on Nick Jr. internationally.

Dora stars Diana Zermeño as Dora and Asher Colton Spence as Boots as they go on big adventures in a magical rainforest. Along the way they’ll be guided by their trusty pal Map, voiced by Anairis Quiñones. But they’ll have to be careful because Swiper, voiced by Marc Weiner, is right behind them!

Kathleen Herles, the original voice of Dora the Explorer, returns to the new series as Mami, and Mike Smith Rivera joins the cast as Papi.

Additional cast members joining Dora include:

– Danny Burstein as Grumpy Old Troll and The Fiesta Trio’s Frog and Marmoset

Cosmo and Wanda return in Nickelodeon’s ‘Fairly OddParents: A New Wish’

Cosmo and Wanda return in Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, coming this spring to Nickelodeon in the U.S. It will also be available internationally on Netflix later this year.

Fairly OddParents: A New Wish stars Ashleigh Crystal Hairston as the voice of Hazel, an adventurous kid with unique interests and a wild imagination. Susanne Blakeslee as the voice of Wanda and Daran Norris as the voice of Cosmo reprise their roles from the original series.

Synopsis: In Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, ten-year-old Hazel Wells has just moved to the big city of Dimmadelphia because of her dad’s new job. On top of being in an unfamiliar environment, it’s the first time she’s been without her brother, Antony, who’s just left for college, leaving her lonely and unsure of herself.

All that changes when the pink-and-green-haired neighbors next door reveal that they are no ordinary neighbors… they’re Cosmo and Wanda, fairy godparents! And they’re coming out of retirement to make all of Hazel’s wishes come true.

Nickelodeon Reveals ‘Rock Paper Scissors’ Trailer, Release Date and Cast List

Nickelodeon’s new animated series Rock Paper Scissors premieres February 12, 2024.

Leading the cast are Ron Funches (Trolls) as Rock, Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!) as Paper and Carlos Alazraqui (Rocko’s Modern Life) as Scissors.

The series also stars Melissa Villaseñor (Saturday Night Live) as Pencil and stand-up comedian Eddie Pepitone as Lou, a garbage can. Guest stars include Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Isabela Merced (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) and Carla Gugino (Spy Kids).

The series, created by Kyle Stegina and Josh Lehrman, began life as a short from Nickelodeon’s Intergalactic Shorts Program, an initiative that searches for “new and diverse creators from across the globe, […] nurturing their vision for original comedy-driven content.”

‘The Penguins of Madagascar’ is a bonafide hit!

Nickelodeon’s “The Penguins of Madagascar” averaged 3.7 million total viewers and ranked as the week’s top kids’ show on all of basic cable with the repeat performance of “The Hidden/Kingdom Come”. The Penguins Saturday morning airing of “Little Zoo Coupe/All Choked Up” ranked as the number-one telecast for the week with kids 2-11 on broadcast and cable TV.

The show also ranked as the number-one animated series among total viewers for the month of May. Quarter to date, the show is the number-two animated show with kids, only behind SpongeBob SquarePants, and the number-one animated show with total viewers.

Instant Netflix nabs South Park and Nickelodeon content

Big news for South Park and Nickelodeon fans as Netflix today added hundreds of new animated episodes to their Instant Streaming service.

Users now have access for the first nine seasons of South Park, which consists of a total of 139 episodes. Also available now are Blues Clues, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob Squarepants and others.

Available Blues Clues and Dora the Explorer episodes include the complete first and second seasons, while SpongeBob Squarepants fans can check out the third season.

Nearly 8 million tune in for SpongeBob SquarePants special

Nearly 8 million total viewers tuned in to the premiere of SpongBob SquarePants’ “WhoBob What Pants?” television special. Ranking as the top entertainment show with total viewers and the number-one program on broadcast and cable television for the night with all kids and tweens, the half-hour TV event earned the network triple-digit gains over last year’s like time period among all demos.

Ratings highlights include:

– The special drew 7.7 million total viewers, a +225% increase over last year’s like time period.

– “WhoBob WhatPants?” was the number-one entertainment show with total viewers and the number-one telecast on all of broadcast and ad-supported cable television for the night (Oct. 13, 8 p.m.) with kid and tween demos.

– The special episode garnered triple-digit increases with all core kid and tween demos, averaging a 11.8/4.1 million kids 2-11 (up +189%); a 12.7/2.7 million kids 6-11 (up +152%), and a 10.8/2.3 million (up +168%) tweens 9-14.

– A new SPONGEBOB-themed Game of the Week, “WhoBob WhatPants?,” on www.nick.com generated 2.6 million game plays, ranking as the number-one game on the site since launch and the number-two Game of the Week for the entire year

– TurboNick, Nickelodeon’s broadband video player, also featured a special playlist of dedicated SpongeBob content, including a “WhoBob WhatPants?” video that generated 2.2 million streams since its Oct. 12 launch on Nick.com

– Leading up to the “WhoBob WhatPants?” premiere, the SpongeBob message board ranked as number-one for the week of Oct. 6, with 46,000 unique visitors.
