“Wayside” books become cartoon series

WAYSIDE, a new half-hour cartoon base on the SIDEWAYS STORIES FROM WAYSIDE SCHOOL book will debut on Nickelodeon on June 25 at 12:30 pm.

The 26-episode series will air regularly on weekdays at 12:30 pm. I for one can’t wait to see how this one turns out. I remember reading the book when I was younger and I absolutely loved it! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a meeting on the 19th floor. (Bonus points for whoever gets the reference!)

Uninvited, Donald takes out his flute and distracts the band into playing Turkey in the Straw. Mickey tries to get rid of Donald by destroying his flute but it turns out the Duck has plenty of replacement flutes on hand.
